Altimedia was selected as a set-top box software platform provider and TV application developer for Turk Telekom, Turkey's largest telecommunications operator as well as the second-largest Pay-TV operator.

Turk Telekom had selected the ZTE consortium for a project to build a new IPTV eco-system to enhance its service experience and flexible expansion and the integrated terminal platform includes upgrades on 1 million legacy set-top boxes installed in the field, including interworking with the newly built ZTE system. The project aims to be completed in 2021 according to Turk Telecom's business plan, including the STB middleware migration and a new TV service application development.

"Needs of replacements or upgrades from the first-generation digital broadcasting platforms built more than a decade ago are emerging. "And for Turk Telekom, we expect this new project would be another promising milestone on top of the previous STB middleware project successfully completed in 2019 with Turk Telekom Group.”
